Aiya, order yourself another Kopi-O Gao, because today’s story is literally a full-blown Netflix Korean drama mixed with a Batam soap opera!
According to Mothership, over 40 Singaporeans—and probably half of Batam—have been unwillingly dragged into the world’s most relentless, unhinged game of “Where in the World is Tony?”
The whole circus started when a Batam woman named Lilis Suryani met a Singaporean guy named Tony Toong at a Batam KTV. Long story short: she says they dated, she got pregnant, got pressured into an illegal abortion, and then Tony pulled the ultimate Singaporean magician trick—HE COMPLETELY VANISHED.
Did she cry, eat a pint of ice cream, and move on with her life? No, bro. She decided to turn into a one-woman Interpol task force to hunt him down, and Singapore was about to become collateral damage!
Act I: The “Five Fake Accounts a Day” Special
When Tony ghosted her, Lilis didn’t just double-text him—she went after EVERY SINGLE PERSON remotely connected to him, his friends, his friends’ friends, or basically anyone breathing in Singapore.
We are talking about creating at least five fake social media accounts a day just to spam people. You block one account, and she pops back up faster than a scam pop-up ad!
- The Wedding Crasher: One local influencer had her solemnization process completely disrupted because Lilis tracked down her fiancé and spammed his phone right during their Registry of Marriages (ROM) event!
- The Boutique Nightmare: She called up a local clothing brand and a fitness studio, bombarding staff with non-stop calls, messages, and unsolicited pictures of male genitalia, claiming Tony was hiding inside their shop! Poor boutique retail staff just trying to hit their monthly sales quota, end up having to review random organ pictures!
- The Customer Collateral: She even joined the clothing brand’s public Telegram channel to hunt down and harass random customers who had zero idea who Tony was!
Act II: Black Magic, Pets, and MPs
When victims pleaded that they had no idea who Tony was, Lilis leveled up her harassment to full Boss-Fight status.
When logic failed, she started throwing out death threats against pets, threatening to kidnap babies, and even claiming she was going to use black magic to curse a content creator’s child!
“Mdm, A Batam Woman Is Cursing My Baby…”
You think she only targeted ordinary citizens? Wah lau, she literally emailed Member of Parliament Baey Yam Keng to ask him to join the hunt for Tony! MP Baey obviously had to block her email addresses, while another victim actually raised the issue during a Meet-the-People Session (MPS) with MP Low Yen Ling.
Imagine queueing up at MPS after work, sitting down opposite your MP, and saying: “Mdm, I need help… a woman in Batam is cursing my baby with black magic because she cannot find a guy named Tony.”
Act III: So… Where on Earth is Tony?
That is the million-dollar question!
Tony actually filed a police report in Batam against Lilis back in August 2025, sent a few screenshots to his friends showing Lilis being questioned at a police station, and then… HE GHOSTED HIS OWN FRIENDS TOO!
He quit his job at a local cleaning company, disconnected his phone lines, deleted his online presence, and went totally off the grid. Even his closest polytechnic buddies have no idea where he is hiding.
Right now, both the Batam police and Singapore police are looking into the matter, while Lilis recently tried to blackmail a victim, demanding 2 million rupiah (~S$170) to stop the harassment.
The Kopi Shop Summary

The Moral of the Story
Uncle tell you: if you go to a Batam KTV, play nice and don’t go around ghosting people. Because if you decide to pull a disappearing act, 40 random Singaporeans, a clothing boutique, customer service staff, and two Members of Parliament will end up paying the price!
And most importantly: always lock your social media privacy settings!
